Leipzig Motor Show: Audi TT-RS Roadster
By: Peter Chubb | March 26, 2009 | Leave a CommentA couple of weeks ago those who attended the Geneva Motor Show were treated to a preview of the fixed-head version of the Audi TT-RS, but a topless version was nowhere to be seen. Autoblog has reported that Audi did have a good reason for this; they will be showing Audi TT-RS Roadster at the Leipzig AMI show in Germany this weekend.
The stylish open-top coupe has the same turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine as the coupe and also pushes out the same 340-horsepower. The TT-RS will go from zero-to 62 mph in just 4.7 seconds, with the power going to all four wheels. Making the car very stable.
With a car that fast you need to be able to stop the thing fast, which is why the topless TT-RS gets a major brake upgrade, Audi have used cross-drilled rotors all around, the suspension has also been upgraded. Audi also have a few more models on its stand at Leipzig, such as the A4 all-road Quattro, A5 and S5 Cabrio.
Audi do have some amazing cars coming up, but they also have a sexy looking concept car that takes some styling from all these latest models. The car is the Audi Shark Concept.
