
GDC 09: EA announce Red Alert, SSX for Apple iPhone
By: Alan Ng | March 26, 2009 | Leave a CommentElectronic Arts have announced iPhone versions for two of their biggest game franchises. Red Alert and SSX Snowboarding will be coming to Apple’s device in the near future , according to EA Mobile boss Travis Boatman.
As reported by Edge-Online, Boatman not only revealed those two big titles at this years GDC, but many more of EA titles including FIFA 10, Madden 10, NBA Live, American Idol, The Sims and Need for Speed.
Owners of the iPhone will also be pleased to know that these titles are all scheduled for 2009, whether they stick to that timeframe though remains to be seen.
The news come just a few days after retro shooter Wolfenstein 3D was announced for the iPhone. If you didn’t believe the iPhone was a genuine competitor for the Sony PSP or Nintendo DS/DSi, you do now. Let us know what you think.
