Good news for fans of Resistance 2 as developers Insomniac have announced some big updates that are coming this week. A patch for the game as well as a new map pack will be coming on Thursday 26th March.
As reported from 1up, the long awaited patch will bring a multiplayer mode from the first Resistance game (Fall of Man) called ‘Meltdown’. Other changes include a new ‘Superhuman’ difficultly mode which will offer gamers higher experience rewards if they choose to take on this difficulty. Another great feature which will available when the patch goes live is the ability for a local co-op player to sign in with their own PSN profile, meaning he’ll be able to save his progress, a feature which gamers will be pleased to see I’m sure.
As well as the patch, a new map pack titled ‘Aftermath’ will be available on the Playstation Store priced at $5.99. No specific details have been released about these maps, but we’ll let you know when we find out.
Let us know what you think about the upcoming changes guys. On a side note, dont forget about the Resistance Retribution tournament that is going on at the moment.
