Skype 3.0 Beta: Download for Windows Mobile

If you are a Windows Mobile users you will be pleased to know that Skype 3.0 Beta is now available for download. This latest edition of the free instant messaging and voice calling service now gives you more reason to start using Skype on your Windows based handset.

jkontherun informs us that the new beta version offers a number of new features, one of which allows you to send files to other Skype users, you can even SMS text them as well. All other features remain the same, such as Skype-to-Skype voice calls and free instant messaging as well as landline and premium mobile phone calls.

Keeping in touch with friends and family is big business these days; Skype is the granddad of the bunch, with new boys taking things a step further, such as FaceBook. Windows Mobile users can also use this service with the Apple iPhone coming late to the party. Facebook Connect will now allow iPhone users to stay in touch with all their friends from their Facebook account.
