Nokia’s N-Gage platform making a comeback?

Does anyone remember the words ‘Nokia N-Gage’? A few years ago, the N-Gage platform was meant to be a worthy competitor to the other handhelds on offer at the time but we all know it turned out to be a failed venture for Nokia.
Well fresh news from the mobile phone company today have indicated that the N-Gage might be having another crack at the gaming market after registered users for the service has ‘Accelerated’.
As reported by Kotaku, the N-gage used to be an optional install on many of Nokia’s phone models, but now the company have changed that process as N-Gage now comes pre-installed on a number of newer models, which has led to the increase in users.
While Nokia did not release any official figures, they did reveal that the number of registered users was close to 1 million so far.
