AT&T slips important details on next iPhone: June release

A number of AT&T officials have reportedly let slip some important information about the next Apple iPhone. It has been reported that the latest handset will be launched in June and will be much faster than the iPhone 3G.

Apple Insider say that according to the report this confidential information is “100% confirmed,” Boy Genius has said that he heard that the third iPhone will be launched sometime in mid-June. This news has yet to be proved reliable, but there have been a number of rumors on a new iPhone coming in the summer to coincide with the launch of iPhone OS 3.0.

It is thought that the third iPhone will be faster and will also support AT&T’s7.2Mbps 3G, which is scheduled for an upgrade later this year. iPhone users will not be happy that they might have to part with some more cash to get hold of the third incarnation of the Apple iPhone, but with reports of it having a better camera and also video recording, it might just be worth the upgrade. Oh did we forget to mention that the handset could also have an OLED screen and Multi-core graphics.
