New Apple iPhone 3.1 and Video Camera
By: Peter Chubb | March 23, 2009 | 7 CommentsSince the iPhone OS.3.0 preview event last Tuesday, it has helped to fuel rumors that Apple (AAPL) is to launch a new iPhone. As yet this is all speculation, we even covered an article that a new iPhone will be launched on April 17, but most sources agree that we are looking at a summer release.
There are a number of new features coming to Apple’s new OS for the iPhone, which is what has lead people to believe that a new handset is also on the way. Apple Insider as ever has been keeping their ear to the ground, and you will be amazed by what he has learned.
iPhone users have a huge wishlist for what they would like to see on the new handset, and there is a rumor that the new iPhone will finally have video recording capabilities. An iPhone with a video camera is a long awaited feature, I know that consumers with a cheap cell phone are laughing, but yes, the ultimate Smartphone still does not have this basic feature.
As you would expect there is no official information on this, it is all speculation, but if we are to see video recording then you can bet that, the new iPhone will also have an upgraded camera. This is just one of a number of tweaks; there are also rumors of a number of hardware upgrades, such as Multi-core graphics and an OLED screen made by LG (066570).
