Microsoft IE8: Vulnerability and exploit issues addressed

Last week saw the release of the new IE8 web browser from Microsoft (MSFT), and we mentioned in a recent post about how Internet Explorer 8 adds more security for malware issue. We know that Microsoft have worked hard in a number of areas to bring improved security, but how well does it work in the big wide world.
IE8 has seen many enhancements and they do help to speed things up, but the improvements to help improve our privacy and further protect us against phishing and cross-site-scripting attacks is a more welcome feature.
Microsoft have been working hard to try and increase its market share, but in a recent post we spoke about how Internet Explorer has been losing ground to Firefox and Safari, and the big question was, will these other browsers now be able to compete?
