Take-two have revealed today that Max Payne 3 is currently in development at the moment over at Rockstar Vancouver and the game will be ready for a release this winter. This will be sure to delight fans who thought the game would never see a release after initial problems.

According to Eurogamer, the game will be released onto the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will feature good old Max who is now retired. As you can see from this image over at the official website, Max in his exile has now grown a rugged beard but is still very game when it comes to getting his hands dirty.

Sam Houser from Rockstar has said, “We’re starting a new chapter of Max’s life with this game. This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”

Is anyone still interested in Max Payne and his adventures? Seems like an eternity since we last heard from him. Still, it’s some good news from Take-Two which they’ll be pleased to report about after their recent troubles.
