New 2009 Apple iPhone and iPod Touch: Wishlist

A number of rumors have started to circulate that there could be a new iPhone and iPod Touch for 2009, but as you would expect, Apple (AAPL) are being very quiet about it. We wrote an article this morning about some new models that were found in the beta version of iPhone OS 3.0.

There has to be some truth in the rumors, as these rumors on Apple products normally comes to fruit. It is no secret that a number of improvements are needed to the iPod Touch and more importantly the iPhone, but what would those be.

The iPhone is lacking in many areas, the biggest problem is that stupid 2-megapixel camera, even a $30 phone has a better camera. If Apple wish for the iPhone to survive the future onslaught from Smartphone’s, like the Palm Pre, then Apple needs to offer this basic of features. I would say 5-megapixels and above is more than adequate.

The iPhone like the iPod Touch can often be slow and rumors of a newer processor only adds to the rumor mill. The greatest problem with the current iPhone is that poor battery life. Come on Apple give us something that lasts more than a few hours of talk time.

Will you upgrade to a new iPod Touch or iPhone?

A feature that allows me to resend a previously typed text. It’s annoying retyping a text.
