BlackBerry 9630 Niagara Verizon Release Date
By: Peter Chubb | March 20, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe know that Research In Motion (RIMM) are planning the release of the BlackBerry 9630 Niagara, and that the handset will be coming to the Verizon (VZ) carrier, now we have learned that the phone will land in May, thanks to some analysts who have been looking closely at the plan.
For those of you who are not familiar with the BlackBerry Niagara, it is a slimmer version of the ever-popular Curve; you will notice that this latest RIM handset has borrowed the keyboard design of the BlackBerry Bold, which AT&T (T) has.
The Niagara is like the BlackBerry Storm in the way that it is a 3G phone; this means that it will work on Verizon’s U.S. EVDO network, as well as Europe’s GSM systems. May and June will be a buy year for cell phone buyers, as May could see the launch of the BlackBerry 9630 Niagara, and we could see the Palm (PALM) Pre and a new Apple (AAPL) iPhone in June
