VW GTI W12 body kit: what does it offer?
By: Peter Chubb | March 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentBack in 2007 while at the Wörthersee show in Austria, VAG had two concepts on show, the Audi (NSU) TT Clubsport Quattro and the VW (VOW) Golf GTI W12 650. The TT roadster went from concept to limited production model, this upset VW Golf fans, but fear not as a body kit has been made available.
Tuning Worldwide thought they would give people want they wanted, and that is a full body kit for the Mark V GTI that apes the W12. The exterior of the hot hatch is certainly insane. The kit has a number of items that help to transform the look of the car, this includes new side skirts, oddly proportioned front bumper, reworked hatch and bumper, widened front and rear fenders and W12 65 badge.
The downside is that the car is all show and has nothing to back up its looks, apart from upgraded suspension, the performance modification are so minimal that it is hardly noticeable. There is no Bentley W12 to the rear and no twin-turbocharged either.
