New iPod Touch Mics: SwitchEasy’s ThumbTacks
By: Peter Chubb | March 19, 2009 | 4 CommentsWe often come across a gadget that is so cool that it often passes us by, but we were surprised when we saw this. The SwitchEasy ThumbTacks is a new tiny recordable mini-mic, which just plugs into your Apple (AAPL) Nano 4G or iPod Touch 2G.
The great thing about ThumbTacks is that it is not an obscure looking item; it is a familiar day-to-day object. The design certainly looks great and is the perfect shape to easily push in and pull out. This is the smallest mic of its kind, and it still manages to function and withstand what day-to-day life throws its way.
SwitchEasy’s ThumbTacks allows you to fulfill the potential of your iPod, and it is easy to use. Just push the device in the 3.5mm headphone jack, and your iPod will then turn on the voice recorder.
The quality of the microphone is much better than you would assume, and outperforms any other device of a similar size. The ThumbTacks retails at $12.99.
