Microsoft have been building up to this day for a year now, and have said that this latest version of IE will offer a number of improvements, not only in its performance but also better support for Internet technology standards. According to a report conducted by NSS Labs, Internet Explorer 8 will be 69 percent more effect in catching malware before it did any damage. Firefox 3.07 has a 30 percent effectiveness rate, Apple Safari 24 percent and Google Chrome 16 percent.
