Download HD movies from Apple iTunes

Apple (AAPL) have been going out of its way to please their customers over the past week or so, last week we saw an update to the iPod Shuffle, on Tuesday Apple announced that the iPhone will get 100 new features with OS 3.0, and now we learn that iTunes are now offering movie downloads in HD.

These HD movies will cost $19.99 to buy, and just $4.99 to rent. Some of the movies available for download include Punisher: War Zone and The Spirit. There are also movies that can be pre-ordered, such as Twighlight and James Bond: Quantum of Solace.

Apple has set up this new section in iTunes, which has all the HD movies in. These HD movies can be played on Mac, PC, and through Apple TV. The movies can also be viewed in standard definition on the iPhone or iPod with video. iTunes currently have 5,000 movies available for rent or purchase; it is not known how many HD movies are available.
