All of those users with jailbroken versions of iPhone OS 2.0 will be wondering if 3.0 will also be able to be broken. The iPhone Dev Team has said the new OS from Apple (AAPL) could be broken but have issued a warning to some 3G users.
For those working in the iPhone Developer Program, they have already received a beta version on the shiny new operating system, and those developers have already started to crack iPhone OS 3.0. The DevTteam have already said that the software can be jailbroken, but for those users who have unlocked their 3G iPhones with Yellowsn0w will have some trouble if they use the beta version of 3.0.
The problem with using Yellowsn0w jailbreak for beta 3.0 is because the device uses baseband radio, this is used to link up the device with the network, this will be changed with the new iPhone OS 3.0. The Dev-Team has warned that upgrading 3.0 with Yellowsn0w installed could cause users to lose Yellowsn0w, and will not be able to get it back.
