Hands-on: iPhone OS 3.0
Filed under: Cell Phones, Phone Software

Today was such a big day for iPhone owners, as Apple (AAPL) laid on an iPhone OS 3.0 preview event, and we have to say went down well with users. The new update is very extensive and has some amazing new features for the iPhone, although a few of the updates only apply to the iPhone 3G, such as MMS.
Engadget have managed to get their hands on this latest update, and have hooked up their handset with the new Apple iPhone OS 3.0., although they are not saying how this was achieved. In the post, they mention that things feel the same, until they flick left once more and hit the spotlight screen.
Engadget can tell that this is only a beta version, as the phone has a lot of lag and some of the features do not work. One such feature that they had some trouble with was taking a photo directly with the MMS app.
