iPhone 3.0 Live Event: Micro purchases with The Sims 3

Today’s iPhone 3.0 live event has unveiled some great news for iPhone owners like MMS; unless you have the first iPhone as only 3G versions get MMS.

There are many features coming to all versions of the iPhone and iPod Touch, one of these includes micro purchases. This lets developers charge the user a subscription for different in-game services.

The Sims 3 on the iPod and iPhone is one game that will have micro purchases thanks to EA (ERTS). They were the first to jump up onto the stage and announce how their using micro purchases in games.
