Gaming Favorite: iPhone 3.0, Sony PSP or Nintendo DS

Following on from the Apple (AAPL) event today, I4U raised a good point about the latest developments in iPhone 3.0 and how it directly affects the gaming market.

The Sony PSP and Nintendo DS are very popular when it comes to portable gaming, but the iPhone wants to be much more than just a phone.

With the new iPhone 3.0 SDK, you could not think about much else other than games thanks to the event covering news on game apps and their improvements.

The iPhone 3.0 SDK has 1,000 new functions and many of these will directly improve the gaming experience on the iPhone and iPod touch. With over 30 million iPod and iPhone’s in peoples hands, Apple are force that could take a bigger share of the games marketplace over the next year, especially with the improvements in iPhone 3.0.
