Arrival of webOS: Farewell old Palm OS
By: Peter Chubb | March 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentYou and I have been to all kinds of parties before, but I bet you could not say that you have been to a Palm OS (PALM) farewell party before. Well the HKPUG (Hong Kong PDA User Group) held such party just last week. You might ask yourself why throw such a party, that is simple, they have to make way for the arrival of the new webOS.
The HKPUG got together to honor the old faithful Palm OS, as we all know it is going into retirement. Members of the group brought along their Palm OS devices that they had purchased over the years and shared some stories and other bits of data via IR.
Almost all kinds of Palm OS devices were at the farewell party; this includes the Pilot 1000 to one of the latest handsets, the Centro. Most of the handsets that were taken along were still in good working order.
