When Apple (AAPL) launched the MacBook Air it, was dubbed the world’s thinnest notebook, but it now looks as if the Air has lost that title. Dell (DELL) have unveiled its Adamo laptop, which they are now calling the world’s thinnest notebook. Both are aimed at the high-end market, but how do they compare against each other.
The case of the Adamo is sleek and made from aluminum and measures just 0.65-inches, the MacBook Air is 0.76. Dell have gone for a 13.4-inch screen, Apple went for a 13.3-inch. The MacBook Air does win when it comes to its weight; the Air weighs in at a respectable 3 pounds, with the Adamo weighing 4 pounds.
We all know what the specs are for the Apple MacBook Air, so let us take a little look at Dell’s new effort. The Adamo comes with a 128-gigabyte solid-state drive and have a number of configurations, prices start from $1,999 to $2,699.
Will the Adamo will be able to take on the Air, which is a good question one that will be answered in time?

The MacBook Air just looks nicer. Yeah I’m predjudiced– who isn’t? I love Apple products, but both laptops are strictly for style. While the Adamo’s hinge section may be 0.1″ thinner, the Air is tapered all the way through, which in my opinion, looks sweeter.
Basically, now Windows people have a sleek, expensive, “high-end netbook” to rival the Air. Lookin good…now pass the Applesauce, please.
the macbook air is actually thinner towards the trackpad area. It’s a wedge shape from 0.76″ to 0.16″.
