Apple iPhone now has copy and paste
By: Peter Chubb | March 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentIf you have been living under a rock, you would know that the Apple (AAPL) iPhone 3.0 OS preview event was today. There has been much speculation as to what we could expect from the upcoming firmware update, and the much anticipated copy and paste has made the cut.
We all knew that it was coming, but those who attended still found it in themselves to cheer. The new function is simple to use, just double tap and it will auto-select the text you want with movable “grab points.” Then you will see a pop-up edit bar, this will display buttons for cut, copy and paste.
This new feature will work with all the major apps this includes Safari and SMS. Another feature built in to copy and paste is “shake to undo,” just shake your handset and a box will appear, this allows you to undo and redo c/p actions.
great to see that Apple are finally giving their customers want thet want
