Apple iPhone 3.0: Spotlight search and new homescreen
By: Daniel Chubb | March 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentOn the new Apple (AAPL) iPhone 3.0 OS you can flick to the left from the first screen of apps and bring up the new Spotlight search homescreen.
From this new search screen you will be able to search media, calendars, contacts and mail metadata but sadly not the message content itself. There are also a few other search options that aim to make it easier for you to find what you want faster right on your iPhone.
Like many updates in this iPhone firmware, they are appreciated but leave you wondering why they were not there before. That a side, these new search features are welcomed.
