
What is a smartphone? The difference to a cell phone is
By: Alan Ng | March 16, 2009 | Leave a CommentSome consumers have difficulty in knowing the difference between a cellphone and a smartphone. While many manufacturers label their phones as ‘smartphones’, what are the features that enable it to be called a smartphone?
In an article over at ComputerWorld, they use the LG Rumour2 as one example where it is not defined clearly as a smartphone, although it contains features such as a qwerty keyboard, internet and emailing which some people might clearly see those as being key smartphone features.
The story also adds that the Apple iPhone, Nokia N and E series and Blackberry cellphones are all deemed to be smartphones.
