Ubuntu Linux 9.04 ported to Nokia’s Internet Tablets
By: Peter Chubb | March 16, 2009
The Nokia Internet Tablet (NOK) can use a number of operating systems from Windows to Cupcake, but if you are bored with them, you could always try out Ubuntu Linux 9.04. This new OS is now ready to port over to Nokia’s N8×0 family of handhelds, the N800 and N810.
Before you think about installing Ubuntu Linux 9.04, Usplash and audio is not working at the moment, but the rest of the OS seems to work just fine. You have to wonder why you would want another OS on your Internet tablet, the more the better I suppose.
We found this article via Engadget, which they got from www.internettablettalk.com. The website gives you a step-by-step guide on how to set the OS up. As of writing this post the link was not working, let us hope that the website comes up soon.
