Solid-state drives (SSD) will hit hard-disk drive prices

Hard-disk drives are the standard when it comes to our storage solutions in computers, but the technology is old now and Solid-state drives (SSD) are the future. There is always a downside to new technology, and that is the high price, this is what is putting consumers off.
Samsung (005930) have said that they expect solid-state drives to have a price that is more on par with hard-disk drives within the next few years, thanks to the decline in the price of flash memory chips. SSD’s use flash memory chips as the storage medium this offers better performance.
