Microsoft: Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) faster than Firefox and Chrome
By: Alan Ng | March 16, 2009 | 2 CommentsMicrosoft have said that their recent speed tests have proved that Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) performs faster than Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
A test was conducted to see which browser could render the 25 most popular websites on the internet as according to Web metrics firm comScore Inc. Microsoft said that IE8 was fastest in rendering 12 out of 25 websites as compared to Chrome, who took second place with loading 9 website pages fastest. Firefox could only manage to load 4 out of 25 websites, faster than the other two browsers.
Hopefully IE8 will turn out to be a solid competitor when the final version gets released later this month. Read the full story at Computerworld here.
