Four New Apple iMacs: Benchmark results
By: Peter Chubb | March 16, 2009 | Leave a CommentYou have to love it when websites run benchmark tests for computers, and it is Macworld that have been going mad lately with the amount of benchmark test that they have been offering their readers. The most recent were the new Apple (AAPL) Mac minis and 15-inch 2.66GHz MacBook Pro, now we are treated to the results of four new iMacs.
Looking briefly at the results, you can clearly see that the four new iMacs have a significant speed improvement over the April 2008 iMacs. These benchmark tests certainly show us some interesting performance observations with the four new Apple iMac models.
There are four standard configurations with Appleās new iMac range, one 20-inch model and three 24-inch models. The iMac uses the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, with speeds starting at 2.66GHz, the previous model started at 2.4GHz.
