Nintendo beats Sony PSP easily with 100 million DS sold
By: Alan Ng | March 12, 2009 | Leave a CommentNintendo has announced recently via a press release that it has sold it’s 100 millionth DS handheld. The figure is a combination of DS, DS Lite and DSi systems sold and is seen as a victory over Sony’s PSP, which announced 50 million units sold last month.
As reported from Engadget, let’s not forget that the Nintendo DS first launched in 2004, so to reach 100 million sales already is quite some achievement. By the looks of things, the future remains bright for the DS, especially with the upcoming DSi release in some regions.
