Apple iTunes 8.1 Update: Download released

When you run the iTunes program this morning you will notice, that Apple have released an update for the software. Apple iTunes 8.1 has a host of new features, along with support for the new iPod Shuffle, which was launched yesterday.

iTunes 8.1 has a number of security fixes, new features have also been added to Genius. This feature allows you to put songs together in your library, this surprisingly makes the songs sound great together. Support for CD imports to iTunes Plus is also included in version 8.1.

Apple have put a lot of work into iTunes 8.1 and the enhancements do not stop there, others include allowing friends to request songs for iTunes DJ, improved performance when downloading iTunes plus songs.

Apple have also included Tunes U and the iTunes Store can now be disabled separately using Parental Controls, Genius sidebar for your Movies and TV Shows, as well as AutoFill for manually managed iPods.
