Former Woolworths manager opens ‘Wellworths’
By: Alan Ng | March 11, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt appears the spirit of Woolworths will live on, as a former manager for the closed chain has reopened a store naming it ‘Wellworths.’ By re-opening the store, the manager has also handed back jobs to 20 former employees.
It suggests that Claire Robertson is fighting against the current recession that’s hitting the country as she said the store which is in Dorchester was always a ‘profitable store’, despite the ongoing problems with Woolworths.
Looks like others might follow into the Wellworths name, sounds like a potential winner to us. Claire Robertson added: “It gives people a bit of inspiration to go out and do something new or change direction, especially in these gloomy economic times when all the news is depressing.”
Some people just cant let go of the magic of Woolworths, just like this story suggests. What are the chances of another Wellworths opening up in the near future. Let us know your thoughts.
