We reported yesterday that a Chinese paper had said that two companies were working closely with Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) on a new product, many people assumed that this was the new Apple Netbook. It would be nice to have an Apple Netbook, but as with all new products, there are always good and bad points.
Arstechnica.com have written a great article, looking very closely at this latest rumor and looks to see how much credibility the source has. The article adds that this rumor goes against everything that Apple have said about Netbooks in the past. Apple have been very careful, and has not dismissed the idea of a Netbook completely.
Netbooks are all the rage and if Apple were to launch a Netbook, you can be certain that it would be innovative and have features that no other Netbook has. Apple has always trashed an idea just before they end up launching that product.
Arstechnica.com state that the reason why will never see an Apple branded Netbook is because they do not compete in the cheap crap market and Apple already have a Netbook, the iPhone and iPod Touch.
