RE5 Mercenaries Mode: Xbox 360 patch allows gamers to battle together

Some great news for fans of Resident Evil 5 today, as it has been confirmed that the ‘Mercenaries Mode’ which is unlocked after playthrough of the game, will now be playable online as a result of a patch from Capcom.

This is quite impressive from Capcom, considering the game has not yet been released yet. As IGN reports, Mercenaries Mode was only available in offline mode, but this patch changes all that.

At the moment, this only applies to the Xbox 360 version of the game, as it is unclear whether the PS3 version will benefit from this also, but we expect it will.

Resident Evil 5 will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on 13th March.
