Nokia 5800 and Amazon’s Video On Demand

Not many owners of the Nokia (NYSE:NOK) NAM 5800 XpressMusic’s know this, but it has the ability to synchronize up with Amazon’s Video On Demand service. This great feature brings over 40,000 movies and TV shows to your handset.

There is one downside, you cannot download and view the videos over the air, you will need to install the PC based Video On Demand software first. Once you have done that, you will have to download the portable player for the Nokia 5800.

Now you have got this far, you just have to download the content by tethering up to the machine. This is not the best solution, but it works. We know that the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has HSDPA, so let us hope that Amazon come up with a better solution soon.
