New Verizon Samsung Smooth u350
By: Peter Chubb | March 9, 2009 | 2 CommentsVerizon (VZ) is to release the Samsung (005930) Smooth, which is a low-end clamshell cell phone. Verizon have a tough job trying to market this phone, it is hard to tell potential customers that this new handset is rough, and disappointing.
The Samsung Smooth goes by the name u350 when they have to deal with the likes of the FCC, and will be released at the end of March for free on contract, this is after a $50 rebate.
The Verizon Samsung Smooth does not have much in the way of features, the 0.3MP camera and 128 x 160 display is a fine example of this. The handset lacks some basic features such as 3G and a microSD card slot. I cannot see Verizon shifting too many of these handsets, can you.
