Intel’s High-Performance ULV Processors: 3GHz out of Penryn
By: Peter Chubb | March 9, 2009 | Leave a CommentThere is no denying that when it comes to processor speed, the Intel’s (NASDAQ:INTC) CPU leaves its competition standing. Things are about to get much quicker for this high-speed processor as a 3GHz or more will be released in the second quarter of 2009.
Channelregister.co.uk also reports that Intel will also be looking at pushing their ultra low voltage technology, the same that is used in the MacBook Air. The processor giant understand that people are now more conscious than ever about how much power they use on their computers, providing a low voltage CPU is vital.
Karen Regis, mobile marketing director for Intel has said that 37 percent of PC’s were over three years old. This means that those users will have flakey networking and security, as well as not being able to experience rich content.
