Apple iPhone developers face contract problems
By: Peter Chubb | March 6, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhen the one year anniversary of the third-party Apply (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone development arrives, developers will need to renew their contract. If they do not do so, then they will face having their software removed from the App Store. However, it seems that they are facing problems getting Apple to cooperate before those contracts are up
Those developers who started work in March 2008 knew that they would be given an online option in order to apply for a new contract within 90 days of their contract expiring. As yet those developers have not seen that option appear, and they now have less than a month to go on their original terms.
There have been reports that this option has been removed from the relevant website, this was done with no explanation. App developers have now been trying to contact Apple’s legal department, but they have not been successful in their efforts.
