LED Pocket Projector Review: BenQ GP1 (P1)

Back at the beginning of the year the GP1 pico projector was announced at CES, this was along with a number of other projectors. The version for Europe is reportedly sporting a P1 nickname this in itself is confusing.

BenQ used to have a model called PJ, which did look similar to this model; this was also called the P1. The P1 that Engadget has taken a number of photos of is the first BenQ projector to sport an LED beamer, which offers an 858 x 600 native resolution.

Other features include 2,000:1 contrast ratio, 100 ANSI lumens, 20,000 hours lamp file, TI’s DLP technology and an integrated USB reader. BenQ should offer the projector in Germany by April; it should also hit the US next month, but with a huge price tag of $599.
