Geneva Motor Show: New Mila EV concept vehicle
By: Peter Chubb | March 5, 2009 | Leave a CommentMagna International as well as its contract-manufacturing unit Magna Steyr has been working with a number of carmakers, in order to push forward their hybrid and electric powertrain components and systems. Now the company has offered up their own concept vehicle, the Mila EV, and has been on show at the Geneva Motor Show.
This new vehicle platform from Magna shows how they were able to develop and optimize electric drive applications. This new modular system is able to be adapted to different body styles as well as different powertrain configurations.
The system can be built as a pure EV, or can also be used as a series hybrid. Magna are now offering this new platform, for companies who would like a turn-key EV platform solution, allowing them to quickly get a car in to production.
Magna are not stopping there, they are now looking at getting into the battery game.
