Im sure many gamers out there are loving Killzone 2 at the moment. Whether you’re a die hard PS3 fan or an Xbox 360 owner, many have united on the same conclusion that Killzone 2 has somewhat set a benchmark for future games to come. A debate has been brewing as to whether the next installment of Halo on the Xbox 360 will be technically superior or on a par with Killzone 2.
The GamerAccess makes a good point in their article, emphasizing the capabilities of the PS3 as regards to Killzone 2, while only using up 60% of it’s power. There are always going to be arguments over which franchise is better, but if ‘Halo 4′ was released onto the current Xbox 360 console, you would have to feel that it would not be able to compete with the graphical prowess of Killzone 2 judging by what they achieved with Halo 3.
Dont get me wrong, it was a great game of course, everyone knows that but, ‘graphically’ it wasnt that stunning. What do you guys think? Will Microsoft need to release their number one franchise on a new console in order to compete with Killzone?

Exactly!…When will Sony realize it is not about the technical aspects, but rather the gameplay. They still haven’t learned from Nintendo.
WHAT THEY MEAN BY 60% IS THAT ONLY THAT MUSH SPACE WAS USED ON THE DISK WICH MEANS AROUND 30 TO 35 GIGS WERE USED SMART STUFF THE GAME WAS DUAL LAYERED BUT NOT AT MAX 25GIGS EACH LAYER
i heard a couple of weeks back that halo 4 will be released along side the x-box 720 so that means if gurrlla games develop killzone 3 if will be also out on the playstation 4 then x-box and ps3 will really compete.
“…while only using up 60% of it’s power” Sony PR always makes me laugh. Never short of good entertainment. How do they know it uses only 60% of the power? What does 60% mean? 60% of what? Did someone install monitoring tools and analysed and came to this conlusion? Does this mean killzone 3 will be twice as better if they use 100% of the PS3 power?
Sounds to me like 60% of Sony BS.
DEAR PAUL
You are the biggest fucking reatard in the world! You have shown that you have the intelligence of a 5 year old! How can sony not known that KZ2 uses 60%!!! It is not that hard to figure out!
Yeah they do have tools that show the stress level of the ps3 while your doing code for it so yeah that part is true. As far as them only using that percent it comes from that data and the fact that they along with other devs are not using all of the spu’s but rather the grunt of the work is getting sent to the rsx chip.

No not at all it will be better but you have to realise that with more power usage comes more heat. This is the killer of all systems from 360 to ps3 to the high end PCIe2 cards running in modern PC’s. The PS3 is a better system and the devs are only just getting to grips with the Dev kits as KZ2 shows it has the power to be amazing its just not always tapped as it should be. As i ps3 owner i welcome a game that shows the true power (albiet not full power) of the ps3. I have not rushed out and bought this title yet as wanted to see if it was all hype but it seems for once it is as good as the reports say!
All bable, totally a waist of time even talking about.
There isn’t going to be a Halo 4.
Peace
