
Mortal Kombat sale is a possibility say Midway
By: Alan Ng | March 4, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing weeks of speculation regarding Midway’s financial problems, the company has finally admitted today that their prized franchise, Mortal Kombat could be sold due to a growing amount of interest.
Despite all the ongoing debate and media speculation, the company insist that they remain reluctant to sell off Mortal Kombat and intend on holding on to it for as long as possible.
In a report over at GI.Biz, a rep for Midway, Geoff Mogilner stated: ” There are conversations for certain. I can’t say whether this is something that would have happened otherwise. There’s definitely interest in Mortal Kombat. I’m not going to lie about that. It’s not our goal to sell Mortal Kombat.”
It is hard to imagine a Mortal Kombat game being released without having Midway under their wing. We’ll keep you updated.
