Leaked images have appeared online of Microsoft Kumo; this is the codename that the company has given while Live Search goes through a revamp. A memo also appeared on the Internet, giving us a little more information about Kumo.
Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s search executive has been asking employees for their feedback on Kumo, before the updated search engine is launched later this year. These leaked shots coincide with rumors of Steven Ballmer telling us more about the new search brand today.
Looking at the screenshots, it seems as if Microsoft Kumo has a three-column web page layout, with the search results appearing in the middle and Google style text ads related to your search term on the right. On the left column is a selection of related searches as well as a single-session search history.
