Amazon’s Kindle iPhone app

Amazon has today released Kindle for the Apple iPhone via the App store. It will allow you to read your Kindle e-books directly on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The process involves the user being able to purchase Kindle e-books using a computer which they can then transfer to iPhone or iPod Touch via WiFi. Even better news is that users who have already purchased Kindle e-books can download to iPhone for free.

The App also supports WhisperSync which will enable you to save your bookmark when you move from Kindle to iPhone. Head to the Apple App store here for more details.

Are you happy to see Kindle on the iPhone?

Amazon understands that the future is not about hardware (shocker), nor is it about content for content’s sake (shocker two). The future is about pairing mass aggregation of content and mass distribution of content.
