Sony CyberShot DSC-HX1: Price, Specs and Release Date
By: Peter Chubb | March 3, 2009 | Leave a CommentSony (NYSE:SNE) has announced the new Sony CyberShot DSC-HX1, this is their first digital still camera to feature sweep panorama technology. The new camera can take 224-degree panorama shots in just one easy sweep motion.
This 9.1-megapixel camera is the first cyber-shot to use the 1/2.4-inch Exmor(TM) CMOS sensor technology. The use of this technology allows the camera to achieve burst speeds of up to 10 frames per second. The camera uses an electronic shutter; this is what helps it achieve the fast shutter speeds.
The Sony CyberShot DSC-HX1 captures movies at 1080p, and with a built-in stereo microphone, you have crisp and clear video capture and sound. The camera will be available from April, and will cost around $500.
