Sony and Killzone 2 reach top of UK charts

Many predicted this might happen but today it’s official, last week’s release of PS3 shooter Killzone 2 has taken Sony and Killzone 2 straight to the top of the all-format UK charts.

According to GI.Biz, it is the first time in almost two years that Sony have achieved such a feat. Killzone 2 becomes the fourth fastest selling game in the UK and better yet, the second fastest selling game on the PS3 alone, only trailing to GT5:Prologue.

Street Fighter IV, which was last week’s number one is still performing well in third place but after a 49 per cent sales drop, Microsoft’s Halo Wars has leapfrogged them into second slot.
