Halo 3 on Xbox 360 Getting Old: PS3’s Killzone 2 has advantage

Whenever a great first-person shooter games comes on to the gaming market it is often compared to Halo 3, as that is the benchmark when it comes to these kind of games. Many games since then have not come anywhere close to Halo 3, except one, Killzone 2 for the PS3.
It does seem a bit wrong that a number of these review sites compare the two games, Killzone 2 is a newer game using all the latest in graphic technology, and Halo 3 is getting on a bit now.
Bunjie Bungie developed halo 3 for the Xbox 360 back in September 2007. You as the player takes command of Master Chief, who is a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier. He has waged war in the defense for humanity; he is assisted by a bunch of Marines.
Killzone 2 for the PS3 is developed by developed by Guerrilla Games, and was launched late February 2009. Killzone 2 follows on from events from Killzone on the PS2 and Killzone: Liberation on the PSP, and takes place on the planet Helghan, this is the homeworld of the Helghast.
If you are looking for a massive comparison of Halo 3 and Killzone 2 then head over to Game Pro but is this fair, maybe a Halo 4 is needed.

What is the point of comparing games from 2007 and 2009?
If you want to compare Kill Zone 2 - compare it against Gears of War 2 not an ancient Halo 3.
i have halo 3 which rocks - but man does killzone 2 put things into perspective?? i bought a ps3 on the hype and man i havent been dissapointed - its a magnificent game!

My XBOX 360 just died on me. It is the 2nd one in 3 years. I am still under warranty and I will have it fixed this time but if it happens again I will not pay to have it fixed nor will I buy the next console Microsoft puts out unless they have a 5 year warranty. I will be getting a PS3 and Killzone 2 as soon as the PS3’s price is dropped to $300.
I own both Halo 3 and just purchased Killzone 2 and there is no way Killzone 2 beats Halo 3 on online play. Halo 3 is simply just more fun than K2. But thats just my opinion. I’m sure fanboys will disagree.
to be fair they just set up the servers and havent introduced everything thats to come. Halo 3 wasnt that great online either at launch. I own both playforms and Xbox LIVE is over rated. i canceled it in favor of the PSN. they offer the same things, connectability is the same, PSN store has a better interface, easier to navigate and its FREE!!!
I must definitely agree with you on the online play for both systems. I do think that PSN is as good, if not better than xbox live due to it beeing free.

If you paid attention, I wouldnt be owing both systems and games if I was that fanboy. So, before you call someone an idiot, make sure that the definition of the word doesnt aply to you, in which this time, it must definitely applies to you!!
i’m not a fanboy but i think Killzone 2 is better cuz its more direct and there is less run and gun in it. even GamePro.com says Killzone 2 is a better FPS than Halo3. Halo3 is for kids that y i stopped playing it
um killzone 2 has been in development since before 2005 and when we got glimses of the the game back then it still looked better Halo 3
halo is over rated and always has been so its only natural for Killzone 2 to get higer ratings and better reviews because its a way better game. Its even better then gears of war 2. Looks great! in gears, everything looks like its been whiped down with a vasoline rag. Infact if you look at the reviews of all the latest exclusives for each console, the PS3 exclusives always score above 9/10 while titles like Gears, Halo Wars and Fable only recieved averages of 7 to 8/10. Not bad, but its obvious when titles like Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted, Resistance 1 and 2 are all recving 9/10 or above, the claims that the 360 has better games is untrue.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this game, i dont really care if it beats halo or not as i know halo and i dont like the way it plays to me its just over hyped. Putting that aside i was one of the people that rushed out and bought a copy of little big planet and loved it until it came to me creating levels and thats where to me sony sell it and i fall down. I just aint creative like that and so i have 100’s of itmes and all i seem to do is stand there making my sack boy dance for an hour!
where was i…..oh yeah KZ2 i have waited to see if this game was worth a purchase and all pointers look good.
i for one will be running out tonight and buying this one!
