Xbox 360 ahead of PS3 and Nintendo Wii in Japan
By: Alan Ng | March 2, 2009 | 7 CommentsFresh figures from the Japanese Hardware Charts today has seen the Xbox 360 climb straight to the top, outselling the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 in the process.
The numbers over at DigitalSpy reveal that the Xbox rose to the top with 25,334 units, the Nintendo Wii in second place with 16,973 units and the Playstation 3 trailing in third with 16,149 units.
On a side note, spare a thought for Sony, as it looks as if the Playstation 2 is on it’s last legs with only 5029 units sold, maybe we’ll see a ‘ultra-slim’ PS2 console revision as a last resort.
After a long period of trying to crack the Asian market, it looks as if the Japanese are finally starting to embrace Microsoft’s console.
