Fujitsu Siemens Computers (TYO:6702) are thought to be all set to launch the Esprimo 7935, this is a zero-watt PC. This means that when the PC is switched off it will not consume any power, most other computers use between 1 and 4 watts when switched off.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers announced the plans of this eco friendly PC at the Cebit trade show yesterday in Hanover, Germany. Although the energy that PC’s consume when they are switched off is minimal, if you add them all it, it is a significant amount of energy, so just 4 watts on just one computer would be a great help in the fight of reducing your carbon footprint.

Usually computer users need to pull the plug out of the power socket to use zero power, but the Esprimo 7935 eliminates the need to do so. Fujitsu Siemens Computers said that this unique system would be a great benefit to business users, as it will ensure that their PC’s are not using any power over night, saving businesses money.
