GTA IV: The Lost and Damned breaks Xbox 360 Live Record

General Manager of Xbox LIVE, Marc Whitten, has said today that the new downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned has set a new figure for Xbox Live. The exclusive content for the Xbox 360 has gone on to earn more revenue than any other DLC to date.

We could have known that this figure was coming though considering all the media hype and positive reviews that this bonus content received. Still its good news for Rockstar and Microsoft themselves as they hope their exclusive rights deal pays off and by the looks of it, all is going well so far.

A quote from the press release, which you can read in full over at Loot-Ninja states: ” the highest reviewed downloadable content ever from Rockstar Games eclipsed first-day revenue for all previous downloadable content on Xbox LIVE.”

So there you have it, if you are yet to sample the bonus content, you should check it out. You can still pick it up from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1600 points.
