
Amazon’s Kindle 2 e-book reader: Evolution or Revolution?
By: Peter Chubb | February 27, 2009 | 1 CommentOver the past week the hottest news had to be about Amazon’s next-generation Kindle 2 e-book reader, and looking at the number of improvements that have been added, some are asking if the reader is either an evolution or a revolution.
Ars Technica have been taking a closer look into the device and seeing what difference there are to Amazon’s first e-book reader. They start of by noting that the first generation device was frustrating, the cause of this frustration was in the interface decisions as well as the design.
The Kindle 2 has a number of enhancements that show that Amazon was listening to all the complaints from their Kindle customers. The new model is such a big step from the original that Ars Technica agrees that the Kindle 2 is more than the sum of its parts.
